Google confirms: major platforms hacked

Some Google services appear to be back online after experiencing a major outage on Monday.
Users around the world have reported experiencing issues with Gmail, YouTube, Docs, Maps, and other Google services.

According to DownDetector, which tracks real-time problems and outages with all types of services, the problems began around 11:56 GMT.

While the extent of the rare Google outage is unknown, several users in India, the United States, Japan, and Europe have reported experiencing issues accessing services hosted by the tech company.
Many people have taken to Twitter to share screenshots after being redirected to error pages while trying to access Google services.
According to DownDetector, 52% of people reported having problems watching videos on YouTube.

• 78% of people reported having problems accessing their Gmail accounts,
• 88% of people reported having problems signing in to Google.

• 89% of people reported that their Google Drive app wasn't loading.

• 49% of people reported having trouble joining meetings via Google Meet, while 33% were unable to join.
