New wave of the CRYPTOLOCKER virus: what to do?
A new wave of emails is underway from various senders (institutes, organizations, telephone operators, service providers, etc.) containing links and attachments that, once opened, install viruses on the system, capable of encrypting all data on the PC and connected devices.
Cryptolocker appartiene ad una categoria di virus detti "ransomware", ovvero chiedono un riscatto per poter essere rimossi. Ma se procedi con il pagamento del riscatto, oltre a supportare questo crimine informatico, non avrai la certezza di ricevere la chiave di decodifica.
In addition to the usual advice:
• Trash suspicious emails
• Do not open unknown links or files
• Keep your antivirus software updated
• Back up your data frequently to avoid data loss.
